British Isles Champion!!!

A big congratulations to Aled Edwards on another big accomplishment, the second in a fortnight as he wins at the British Isles Championships held in Aberdeen on 16th and 17th of November.

Aled was playing lead in the pairs alongside Dafydd Howell from Pontargothi as skip. The format was 2 games on the Saturday and 1 on the Sunday, playing each country once.

The first game on Saturday was a narrow win of 16-13 against Ireland.

The second game against England was even closer with another win of 16-14.

The third and final game against Scorland on the Sunday should have been a "formality" with the Scots pair losing heavily against England and Ireland on Saturday. This game was again a nail biter with Aled and Dafydd holding on to win 16-13 and clinching the "A" Series Pairs Championship.

Club treasurer Gethin Edwards was also playing in Aberdeen in a four fours competition, with the shot difference across all four games decided the winners. Gethin played 6 games, winning 3, drawing 1 and losing 2, however it was very close to being 6 wins, losing one game by 1 shot and another by only 4 shots.
