BOWLING INTO THE UNKNOWN

Llanpumsaint were the first Club to visit Alma after the Club had renovated their hall and we didn't know what to expect. There was still only one mat and it was going to be a very long night!! The evening kicked off with the fours skipped by Derick. After 6 ends Alma were leading 6-5 the final end was a nervous affair with Llanpumsaint picking up 2 on the last end to take a 7-6 win. Next up were the triples, again it was nip and tuck with Llanpumsaint again taking an 8-6 win. Peter and Huw took to the mat and continued the trend with with an 8-4 win. By now it was 10.15 p.m. and the final match of the evening. Dylan from Alma and Aled from Llanpumsaint playing the singles. Again it was a close and exciting match to watch with the first 5 ends being low scores only 1 shot in each end but the turning point was Dylan taking a 3 in the 6th end. The final score was 7-5 to Dylan. After a very late night Llanpumsaint won overall 6-2
