Welsh Under 21's

Today saw the Welsh Under 21's pairs competition held at Bro Myrddin Indoor Bowls Stadium in Carmarthen. The club had Rhys and Catrin Williams making their debuts in the event with a strong show of form. In a group of 3 they won their first game comfortably 9-3 And with a must win second game to see them through to the semi finals, they narrowly lost 7-6.

They then played a second chance knockout game again narrowly losing 7-5.

Rhys also took part in his first Welsh Under 21's singles competition last weekend and though not having the best of luck, played some great games.

The future does look positive for the club, county and Wales, with 15 players registered to play in the Under 21's events.

March will see the annual Under 21's Wales v England international match to be held in England. Good luck to those that may be selected.
